The details of MD/MS & DNB courses in Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences are as follows:-

1. Course: Doctor of Medicine (MD) & Master of Surgery (MS)

Disciplines: General Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, ENT, Opthalmology, Pathology & Radio Diagnosis

Duration: Degree – 3 years / Diploma – 2 years
Total seats: Degree – 44 and Diploma – 7
Affiliated University : The West Bengal University of health Sciences (WBUHS) & Recognized by National Medical Commission (Erstwhile MCI).
Admission Process: Through State Counseling (State Quota). We don’t have All India Quota/Management Quota. The Post graduate students should be residential and they must stay in the hospital accommodation provided to them as a junior resident. The leave rules of the PGTs will be as the guidelines of the university (WBUHS).
Stipend: As per State Government rate.
Fees Structure: At the time of admission the degree students pay Rs 18000/- and the diploma students pay Rs. 13000/-. Semester fee is Rs. 6000/- per semester (both for degree and diploma).

2. Course: Diplomate of National Board (DNB) under National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi

Disciplines: Anaesthesiology, Surgery, Radio diagnosis & Urology (SS)

Admission Process: Through Central Counselling. The DNB Post graduate students should be residential and they must stay in the hospital accommodation provided to them as a junior resident. The leave rules of the PGTs will be as the guidelines of the NBE.
Stipend: As per State Govt. rates
Fees Structure: Rs. 1,44,000 /- per academic year.
Total seats: 11

3. Course: VIMS, a Postgraduate teaching & research wing of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences recognized by Medical Council of India affiliated under West Bengal University of Health Sciences with effect from 2004 onwards for conducting MD/MS AND DIPLOMA TEACHING & RESEARCH.
